I am Prashanth S aka PS. A photo hobbyist.
I never introduced myself as a “photographer” in the traditional sense, but the truth is that I’ve carried a camera through enough moments of my life to know that photography is where I feel most at home. I didn’t learn it in a classroom, I didn’t earn it through assignments, and I don’t measure it in clients or currency. What I have is curiosity, a restless eye, and the patience to stand still until the light speaks.
For me, photography is not about categories like street, portrait, nature, product. I have wandered through all of them and never cared much for labels. What draws me in are the little fragments of time: a gesture on the street, a fleeting shadow on a wall, a sky that feels heavier than usual. They are small, but they make me stop, notice, and press the shutter.
Exploring Obscura is where I bring those fragments to you. Not as lessons, not as professional guidance, but as a journal. A space where images meet reflections, where the act of photographing is as important as the photographs themselves.
If you are someone who loves photography but often feels that it has to be perfect, expensive, or profitable and this space may remind you otherwise. Here, the goal is to see differently, to enjoy the process, and to carry away a story or a spark of inspiration.
I like to think of myself as a companion on this journey: not a guide with all the answers, but someone walking alongside you, camera in hand, always curious.
